INK IS MY BLOOD - VOLUME SIX

When I started publishing my drawings on the Web more than ten years ago, I thought I was just a lonely voice, lost in digital infinity. I had neither the ambition nor even the idea that anyone would listen.

I had undertaken to draw these intimate stories over the course of my imagination, with no other conscious aim than that of the pure pleasure of creating. But soon, to my lasting surprise, I discovered that you were there, present at the other end of the network, eager to hear a new story, curious to see a new drawing on the screen of your smartphones. I was no longer alone in my alcove.

And so, night after night, I went back to work and, like Scheherazade, I traced the thread of one story after another, motivated not only by the desire to share this with you , but also perhaps in fear that if I ceased to interest you, if I ceased to satisfy your demanding eye, I would lose my life. And what if my ink stopped flowing? Would my heart stop beating and my blood stop circulating?

All of this gave an unexpected and deeply satisfying meaning to my work. The drawings added to each other and, after having delivered more than a hundred, I began to glimpse, like the Persian storyteller, the remote, unexpected possibility of living to reach the number of 1001.

With this sixth volume, I am well off this mythical course and the ax has not yet fallen, however time has come to take a break, not to give up drawing, but to embark on new projects. This is therefore the final chapter of Ink is my Blood.

This drawings series was created during the worldwide Covid19 lockdown from Spring 2020. It took its inspiration from this unbearable paradox, from the inexpressible nostalgia for past moments and from the promise of reunification still far away: in order to protect those you love, we have to keep them at bay.

It is imperative that you register with a postal address and an email address valid at least until June 30, 2023. We do replace rewards that were damaged during shipment, but we do not, if the address was incomplete, incorrect or no more valid

We send our parcels with a low value in order to avoid unnecessary customs charges. However, depending on your country of residence, customs or their agents (for example the postal services from your country) may contact you for an import tax. Please note that your parcel may actually be lost or returned to us if you do not cover these costs.
