It takes us approximately 4 weeks of work to make it happen and about 10 months of planning!
Basically, we take a little break till the end of summer and start planning again.

Our amazing location is a pine forest on the beach which makes the event production not easy while we need to bring pretty much everything to the location for 5 festival days.
Our minimum expense to make the festival run is 5000€ (not counting ANY artists fees, strictly infrastructure, electricity, workshops, materials, security, etc.)

All of the crew and people involved are friends and volunteers.

We obtained a little help from the city council so we put the minimum goal of our campaign to 2500€.

The better feedback we get, the more quality we bring to the festival: more workshops, artists, and better infrastructure.

Funds will cover:

- generator and fuel needed to run the whole content of the festival

- security

- artist fees

- renting quality stretch tents to keep all the visitors safe also during the worst storms (fingers crossed this won’t happen like in 2019!)

- covers for kitchen area and the entrance

- drinkable water for all the visitors

- chemical bathrooms (yes, they are going to be cleaned every day - we know that nobody likes them, but if kept clean and with just a little bit of attention they can do great work for these 5 days)

- different material (although we recycle a lot of stuff we still need to buy material to make constructions and things properly, reusable cups, etc..)

Our idea is to book around 35 artists playing roots, reggae, dancehall, and dub music from the region, as the global pandemic is not permitting us to call the wide network of artists we have worked with from all around the world.

Some of the artists we brought in the previous editions visited Croatia for the first time and had an amazing time playing sessions that are going to be remembered for a long time.

To name a few artists: Gussie P ft. Errol Bellot, Kibir la Amlak, High Elements, RDH Hi-Fi, Rockers Dub Master, Digitron, and many more regional and international artists.

The sound systems that are going to power this year’s edition are: Warrior Charge sound system from Udine (Italy), veteran sound and big inspiration for us, Sandokan HiFi as the resident sound of the beach, resident host sound Munchies sound system, family sound systems from Koper Jamcoast sound system and Central Istra warrior sound Vibration Addict.

Once we have your feedback from the campaign more fantastic artists will be announced.

Since last year, we have introduced a second stage active in the night, spinning some great music orientated in Disco, Funk, Soul, House, World music.
People's response was truly great.

WORKSHOPS/LECTURES

In the past editions, we offered different workshops collaborating with local associations dealing with slackline, circus, aerial silks, fire show, sea-diving, ecology lectures, recycling, sound system equipment workshops, DIY music equipment, etc. That had an important impact on the families and children making this festival a place where all generations can have fun and learn something.

There is a kids' area and different workshops for them.
To run all these activities there is a big effort by all the participants and by us, the production team.

As we said, the better feedback we get from you people the richer program we will bring you to Barbariga.

Barbariga is a small sea village near Vodnjan, easily accessible by car, bicycle, bus or airplane.
