Help us create Montreal's first sneaker making workshop !

About the project

Help us disturb the fashion industry's habits of mass consumerism by supporting local craftsmanship. We make handmade unisex HOTELMOTEL sneakers in our Montreal studio.

This is your unique chance to purchase the first edition of HOTELMOTEL sneakers and accessories at an exclusive price !

With your help, we will be able to acquire specialized shoemaking equipment for our production.

The atelier designs and makes high-end unisex sneakers and accessories in Montreal. In response to consumerism and mass production, HOTELMOTEL focuses on the quality, durability and integrity of the product, while revitalizing the traditional knowledge of a largely forgotten craft industry.

HOTELMOTEL aims to keep the shoemaking tradition alive in Montreal. By acquiring specialized footwear machinery, we will be able to maintain production in our Mile End studio.  By working on each step in the shoemaking process, we ensure the best quality of our products.

What are the funds for?

We need you! The profits of this crowdfunding campaign will go directly to buying specialized shoemaking equipment.

Specialized equipment allows us to:

-have better production times

-avoid work injuries caused by repetitive manual work

-standardize our products, thus increasing their quality.

Be the first! : All the products offered are part of our first collection. You'll be unique with your HOTELMOTEL products.

Excusive launch prices:  The sneakers are retailing at 735$ (tax inc) on our website. During the campaign, we'll be offering them at 550$ (tax inc)

Satisfaction: You will be participating in the development of a small business that aspires to keep the shoemaking tradition alive by hand making shoes in Montreal.

About the project owner

Having individually accumulated knowledge and experience in leather work and shoemaking, they realized that they shared the same interests and concerns about the industry. All three were committed to preserving shoemaking knowledge in Montreal, but also realized that this would be a difficult mission to achieve alone.
Bringing their unique yet complimentary strengths to the table, along with great respect for one another, the idea to join forces and create a local manufacturing studio was born.
