SLIDELUCK POTSHOW, a pun on "Slideshow" (image slide show) and "Potluck" (buffet where guests bring a dish to share), was born in 2000 in Seattle, in the garden of a young American photographer named Casey Kelbaugh. Over the last 10 years, Slideluck Potshow has traveled the world and brought together thousands of people.
The concept? A projection of photographic slides around a buffet/picnic of dishes prepared by the guests who attend the event.
Over the last decade, SLIDELUCK POTSHOW has projected hundreds of photo projects, bringing together amateurs and proffesionals, the photo curious and industry experts, in unique settings that always result in friendly and atypical events.
SLIDELUCK POTSHOW Paris is a 1901 association formed in 2010 that allows Parisians to now discover this original concept.
The first edition of SLIDELUCK POTSHOW Paris was held last June 23 at the Comptoir Generale with 400 people in attendance. There, guests discovered the work of 40 photographers selected from over 70 proposals, and enjoyed a huge buffet made possible by the help of organsiers and guests alike.

Thanks to the public and critical success of the evening, as well as strong encouragement and demand from the public and photographic sectors, the SLIDELUCK POTSHOW Paris team - a 100% female group of volunteers! - went back to work in 2011 to bring you another evening of art and food in the spirit of communal enjoyment.
The date is set: SLIDELUCK POTSHOW Paris II will have their projectors in place, the tables set and turn up dressed to the nines Monday, June 20 at BAL in the 18th arrondissement.
Photographers be warned: you have until midnight May 15 to submit your slideshow.

The funding will cover, in part, the costs of renting the hall which will host the evening.
This year, we are being welcomed at Le BAL. Former cabaret theater and ballroom - from which it gets its name - Le BAL is now a space dedicated to imagery. Because the space is well known to fans of contemporary photography, we have chosen it to host the second annual SLIDELUCK POTSHOW as a major event to kick off of the parisian summer.

SLIDELUCK POTSHOW Paris is a nonprofit association and its team is entirely volunteer based. There is no admission fee for artists and entry to the evening is free provided you arrive with a plate of food to share with everyone!
The evening is based entirely on the generous contributions of artists work and the publics recipes and food as well as the help of partners who will join in supporting our project.
The spirit of SLIDELUCK POTSHOW is based on sharing, conviviality and the desire to create an encounter between artist and audience.
